Garden Huckleberry

Garden huckleberry tastes highly bitter, however, when sugar is added in the baking process, the flavor is incredibly transformed! There will still be a slight bitter aftertaste, but nothing near its original form. Typically used in baking for pies, pancake toppings, crepe fillings, jams ands syrups.

In comparison to three other fruits found in the same family, garden huckleberry had the highest level of flavonoids and antioxidant activity.
