Oh boy. This one is wild. When you eat one of the electric daisy flower buds, your whole mouth quickly feels like it is carbonated before suddenly salivating profusely. It’s a similar feeling to touching a battery to your tongue but in your entire mouth. It does not hurt, but it’s also not always pleasant for all who try. Eat if you are adventurous! Typically used in traditional medicine.
Electric daisies are associated with potential anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antimicrobial, antifungal, antioxidant, immunostimulant, diuretic and vasorelaxant properties, as well as being able to be used as a mild local anesthetic.
