Celery

Celery is salty, crisp and salty, and makes a great low calorie snack. Fun fact, if left to grow and not harvested in time, the flavor slowly changes from salty to licorice. I grow both a regular variety and a pink stemmed variety. Typically used fresh or cooked.

Celery is associated with the potential prevention of cardiovascular disease, jaundice, liver and lien diseases, urinary tract obstruction, gout, and rheumatic disorders. Celery can also help reduce glucose, blood lipids, and blood pressure. It is also associated with antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.
