Okra

Okra is usually a love it or hate it food. When eaten fresh, it is slimy with a very crisp taste. Eaten cooked, it is even slimier. But eaten cooked well-done or fried with breading actually reduces the sliminess nicely and in my opinion makes a fantastic meal. Typically used cooked.

Okra is associated with potential antioxidant and antidiabetic properties as well as being used to help control high cholesterol levels, improve heart health, treat digestive issues, and promote a healthy pregnancy.
